Transforming the Way You Bank

Big things are happening at Central Bank in Brookings! 

We’re building a brand-new bank, transforming the corner of 6th Street and Main Ave. The modern space will provide the latest banking technology for a faster, simpler way to bank. 

Construction is underway, with completion expected in April 2026. During this time, we’ll continue to serve you just a block northeast at 629 5th Ave., next door to First Dakota Title.

A Legacy of Community Banking

Since 1877, Central Bank has been built on trust, strong relationships and hometown service. In 1990, brothers Tim Brown and John Brown purchased the bank and began growing it into what it is today—22 locations across South Dakota and Iowa, with more than 300 team members.
