Giving Back to Our Communities

We owe our success to those who make their homes and conduct their business in the communities we serve. That’s why giving back is a fundamental and meaningful practice at Central Bank.

Our employees volunteer their time and talents chairing boards, mentoring youth groups, teaching classes, organizing events and much more. Central Bank has built a solid reputation for community service and support. When the opportunity to serve presents itself, we answer the call.

Dingers for Donations

The Cherokee Central Bank and Central Insure team had a successful night at the ballpark! Their fundraiser, Dingers for Donations, raised $541 and collected 361 canned goods, 162 boxed goods and two large containers of peanut butter, which will all be donated to Mid-Sioux Opportunity. Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc., is a not-for-profit Community Action Agency, established 1965 to fight poverty at a local level by helping low-income families in Northwest Iowa. The participation and turnout was amazing, and the fundraiser was a huge success for the Cherokee team.

Junior Achievement Business Park

The Central Bank Des Moines Market staff recently volunteered at the Junior Achievement Business Park by contributing professional insights and personal experiences from Central Bank to inspire the children.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

The Central Bank Des Moines Market recently had the opportunity to volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters to help their mission to "create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth."

The Color Run

Central Bank loved participating in the Color Run! The Color Run promotes an active lifestyle and encourages everyone to be a part of the fun, no matter their ability or experience level.

Earth Day

Central Bank did their part on Earth Day by picking up trash and litter in the area. We collected, bagged and properly disposed of the garbage to help make the Earth a cleaner place.

Father Daughter Dance

Central Bank enjoyed volunteering at the Father Daughter Dance event! This event is hosted annually by the Cherish Center and helps promote the importance of a Daughters relationship with a male role model in their lives.
