Giving Back to Our Communities
We recognize that we owe our existence to those who make their home and conduct their business in the communities we serve. That’s why giving back is a fundamental and meaningful practice at Central Bank.
Our employees volunteer their time and talents chairing boards, mentoring youth groups, teaching classes, organizing events and much more. Central Bank has built a solid reputation for community service and support. When the opportunity to serve presents itself, we answer the call.
If a community organization, non-profit or local charity you are a part of has a need for volunteers or financial support, contact Central Bank today and we will see how we can help.

Central Bank presented leaders of the Sanford Museum and Planetarium with a check for $50,000 for its capital project campaign.
Since 1951, the Sanford Museum and Planetarium has freely provided extraordinary educational resources for Cherokee and the surrounding region, seeking minimal financial support outside of the Sanford Trust. The Trust will continue to provide the Sanford with foundational resources but is seeking additional support to maintain the vibrancy of the facility and assure its future as a regional resource for lifelong learning.
The Sanford Trustees have prioritized six key components needing support:
- 1.Replacement of the original 1951 planetarium projector and renovation of the planetarium interior.
- 2.Installation of an elevator.
- 3.Replace original flooring on the main level.
- 4.A new storage unit for the collection.
- 5.Expansion of the program development fund for the museum trust.
- 6.Program maintenance fund for present and future equipment needs.
“We’re proud of the uniqueness and impact the Sanford Museum and Planetarium has on our region, and how it provides thousands of residents and students with educational opportunities invaluable to their curriculum,” said Chuck Wulfsen, President of Central Bank. “We admire Sanford’s progressive programs and are honored to donate to this entity that has given so much over its sixty-four years of existence.”
